PUERTO VALLARTA, Jal; 11 abril 2008.- El Banco Mundial (BM) refrendó hoy su compromiso de fortalecer a los Organismos Operadores de Agua Potable y Saneamiento de México, con el objetivo de que éstos alcancen su mayor eficiencia y transparencia en sus acciones a través de mejoras institucionales, para lo cual destina un financiamiento de 65 millones de dólares.
Lo anterior lo informó Guang Zhe Chen, Gerente del Sector Agua y Saneamiento para América Latina y el Caribe del BM, al participar en la inauguración del Foro Internacional sobre el tema que se desarrolla en Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, ante la asistencia de representantes de organismos operadores de ocho entidades y de funcionarios de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua); así como de representantes de las naciones de España, China y Colombia.
